New Zealander Lisa Adams has won gold at the Para Athletics World Champions in Paris.

The win in the F37 shot put on Tuesday morning (NZT) means Adams has won back-to-back golds at the world champs, having triumphed at the 2019 event in Dubai.

Adams, who is coached by her sister and Olympic champion Dame Valerie Adams, threw 14.84m to beat China’s Li Yingli by well over a metre. Yingli’s best throw was 13.46m.

Adams started shot put in 2018, winning her first world title in 2019 with a world record throw of 14.70m in Dubai.
