Whittaker’s chocolate comes off the production line.
A teenager has been nabbed at a Dunedin supermarket with a backpack full of sweet treats.
The teen had been spotted putting 30 blocks of Whittaker’s chocolate, valued at $196.50, into his backpack at a central city supermarket on Tuesday, about 6.30pm, Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said.
The teen was nabbed by staff leaving the store, and police were called.
The teen was arrested and charged with theft.
He was expected to appear in the Dunedin Youth Court next week.
