Police investigating the disappearance of Christchurch real estate agent Yanfei Bao have searched farmland near Lake Ellesmere.
Officers were seen walking through long grass and checking the undergrowth on the property on Clarks Rd on Tuesday. There is a storage building on the site, as well as hay bales and farming equipment.
Police were making enquiries and conducting search activities in relation to the ongoing missing person investigation, a spokesperson said.
An update on planned search activity is expected on Wednesday – one week exactly since Bao was last seen.

The 44-year-old who has a 9-year-old daughter, was last seen door knocking as part of her job in Vickerys Rd in Wigram.
A 52-year-old man accused of kidnapping Bao was arrested on Saturday in the public area of Christchurch International Airport. He had no bags and a one-way ticket to China.
On Tuesday, Bao’s husband Paul Gooch said he was grateful to police for how “amazing they have been”.
The search has also included a property in Trevor St. Residents in the normally quiet suburban street said they were shocked at the police activity at the house.

Land near to Lake Ellesmere has been searched in relation to missing real estate agent Yanfei Bao.
None reported seeing Bao, who was due to show a potential buyer through the property on Wednesday morning – the day she disappeared.
While residents spoken to by Stuff couldn’t recall seeing Bao last week, police are hoping CCTV cameras on various homes in the street captured her movements, and those of anyone involved in her disappearance.
On Tuesday morning, investigators paid close attention to two cameras on the front of the house next door to the Trevor St property that’s being examined, and appeared to be photographing an area of footpath where footage may have captured someone walking past.
