Police appeal witnesses following four serious crashes in Northland between May 19 and May 25.
Police are appealing for witnesses following four serious crashes in Northland between May 19 and May 25.
The first crash, between a blue Mazda BT-50 and a black Suzuki Swift, happened at about 6.45pm last Friday, May 19, on State Highway 1 in Uretiti. The driver of the Swift died at the scene.
The Swift appeared to be travelling north from the Auckland region and the BT-50 was travelling south from the Kaipara region.
The second, was a fatal motorcycle crash that took place last Saturday, May 20, on SH11, Kawakawa at about 4.40pm.

The rider of a modified black Suzuki motorcycle lost control, fell from the bike and died at the scene.
The motorcycle appeared to be travelling south towards Kawakawa.
Police also seek witnesses of a serious crash, between a small white Suzuki Alto and a mid-sized rental truck, on SH10 in Waipapa at about 12.02pm on Tuesday.
The Alto was believed to be travelling south towards Kerikeri and the truck north.
The driver of the Alto is recovering but still in a serious condition.
Police are also seeking witnesses of a fatal crash on Te Rore Road, Kaitaia at about 12.35pm on Thursday.
A body was found in a paddock near a dark-coloured Suzuki vehicle. Police said the body was believed to be the driver who was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.
