UK producer and DJ Fat Boys Slim performed to a packed Spark Arena in Auckland on Sunday night.
UK DJ Fat Boy Slim has postponed a show planned for Stoneybridge Vineyard on Waiheke Island on Tuesday night, due to continuing concerns about weather and travel across Auckland.
The show will now go ahead at the same venue and time on Thursday, February 2, instead.
It’s believed the Right Here, Right Now star performed for about 7500 fans at Auckland’s Spark Arena as the headline act of the Garden Festival on Sunday night, although it’s not clear how many tickets were returned following a last minute venue change.
Originally planned as an outdoor event, festival organisers were able to shift the show to the indoor arena in 24 hours, selling an additional 500-plus tickets on the back of the venue change.

“It was a great success considering that in less than 24 hours, they had to pivot and find an indoor space,” a spokesperson for the tour said.

It’s thought more than 7000 fans made the trek to Spark Arena for Garden Fest in Auckland on Sunday night, despite severe weather and travel issues.
“Under the circumstances, it was a great night. Being there and standing in the pit. Everyone was just amping for it.”
The DJ and producer’s tour of the country has been plagued by bad weather. A Christchurch show went off without a hitch, but a show at Napier was cancelled due to severe weather.
Fat Boy Slim’s Wednesday night show, atop Sky Tower, is still going ahead – and will be streamed live on One NZ.

A show at Wellington’s Anderson Park on Friday, February 3 has sold out. However, tickets are still available for shows at Queenstown’s Gibbston Valley Winery, on Saturday, February 4 and the Taupō Ampitheatre on Sunday, February 5.
Refunds for ticket holders who can’t make the new February 2, Waiheke, date will be available from the Endeavour.live. New tickets for that previously sold out show may become available as refunds are processed.
