A fifth body has been recovered from the scene of the Loafers Lodge fire, police said.
Acting Wellington District Commander Inspector Dion Bennett said as with the bodies of the four other victims already recovered, a detailed process of formal identification was now under way.
At the same time, forensic teams were still working on a detailed scene examination, expected to extend into next week.

Police said they were continuing to contact the families of people staying at Loafers Lodge who had been accounted for, in order to reassure them their loved ones were safe.
The number of those accounted for remains at 99.
