A 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to a home invasion in Mount Cook last week.
A man has been arrested and charged in relation to an intrusion into a residential address in Wellington last Sunday.
The occupants of the address woke to a male intruder in their home on Tasman Street, Mt Cook, about 6am. The man reportedly ran away when confronted.

The man also faced a second burglary and second indecent assault charge for a similar incident on December 22.
NZ POLICE
Police have launched a new number – 105 – meant for crimes that pose no immediate danger to the public, such as burglary, vandalism and general inquiries (first published in 2019).
However, police still want to hear from residents who experienced anything similar or saw a male acting suspiciously on their property.
He is described as being of Māori descent, around 182cm tall, of solid build, and with long hair, , police said.
”Police would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to keep security top of mind and to lock doors and windows at night, even if you’re home,” Leitch said.
Police can be contacted via the 105 phone service or online at https://www.police.govt.nz/use-105, using Update My Report using the reference file number 230213/0283, or through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
