One person has died after a truck crashed over a bank near Pahīatua on Monday afternoon.
In a press release on Monday night, police confirmed the person died at the scene on Tutaekara Rd.
Emergency services were first called to the crash around 3.25pm Monday and the road was closed for several hours.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing, police said in the statement.
