Virgin Australia
This little teddy lost its owner, then the airline came the rescue.
It’s a sad photo – a lonely teddy bear forlornly looking out the window from his plane seat for its owner. All lost and alone onboard.
But thankfully this is a story with a happy ending, one that left some social media commentators with “all the feels”.
The tale started on a Virgin Australia flight that had just landed at Perth Airport. It seems the bear was accidentally left behind, but it was only the start of the adventure.
A call-out on the airline’s Facebook page read: “We’re sure there’s a beary upset little one at home missing their furry friends.
“If you’ve flown into Perth recently and seem to have lost one of your pack while travelling, this cuddly bear has been on quite the adventure and is ready for a snuggle with its best friend.”
The post was accompanied by photos of the bear in his seat and the cockpit.
It didn’t take long before the rightful owner was tracked down.
The airline posted: “The update you’ve all been waiting for! Meet Harry, Teddy’s beary happy little owner! We’re sure Teddy will be getting lots of snuggles tonight.”
The posts certainly proved a hit with commentators, with more than 1000 comments and 10,000 reactions.
“I’m far too hormonal and/or tired. This got me right in the feels,” wrote one.
“I hope Teddy has lots of wonderful tales to tell Harry about his journey across Australia .. and some of the juicy gossip of what goes on behind the Stewards/Hostess curtain … especially with the snacks … do the M&M’s really fight behind the cupboard doors???” added another.
“This is the best – the beary best!”, summed up another.
