Cannons Creek residents are spending the night without water after two water mains burst.
Cannons Creek is out of water for the night due to burst pipes in two locations, affecting almost 100 properties.
According to Wellington Water’s website, a water main burst on the corner of Cornwall Crescent and Dorset Grove at around 6:30pm on Sunday, leaving 45 homes without water.
Water service is set to be interrupted for at least 6 to 8 hours and the affected area will be all of Dorset and Devon Grove.
Another burst pipe on Cheshire St has compounded the issue, with 50 homes enduring the night without running water.
The burst 100m water main has meant shutting off the water supply for homes, leaving toilets, showers, and kitchen sinks totally dry.
Two water tankers have been sent to supply residents with water, with one parked on Cheshire St and another near 18 Champion St. Residents have been told to supply their own containers.
Both pipes are expected to be fixed by 3am on Monday, May 8.
