2-year-old Willow has gone missing from her home in Henderson – she was last seen playing in the garden with her sibling
Police, family and hundreds of members of the public are searching for 2-year-old girl Willow, who was last seen playing in the garden of her home in Henderson with her sibling.
Police search and rescue, LandSAR and the police eagle helicopter were all searching the area for the child on Sunday afternoon. Police teams were searching a nearby creek.
Willow was wearing a pink jersey, jeans and black and white chucks shoes, according to Inspector Jason Homan. The family is incredibly worried about her, he said.
“Residents in the Zodiac St area are asked to check their property for the toddler.”
Homan was requesting that if anyone had seen Willow, that they get in contact with police.

Police had set up a van on Ascot Ave, which is one street down from Zodiac St.
Police also asked anyone who was driving in the Universal Drive and Zodiac Street area during the day to check dashcams for footage of Willow.

Local man Daniel said his kids were playing with Willow earlier in the day.
“My kids were playing with the little girl this morning, and, [I’m] coming back now to give the police some information on what happened … and they said that they’d seen her go down that long gravel driveway into her house and she didn’t come out, and that’s about it.”
He said it was about lunchtime to about 1pm.
“My kids play with her, they know her quite well. I just hope they find her.”
He said he wished good luck for the family.
Police had set up a van on Ascot Ave, which is one street down from Zodiac St. A large contingent had gathered there, with at least 6 police cars.

Officers were going door to door.
Hundreds of people were searching the streets in the local area for Willow.
Local resident Jessy said everyone in the nearby area was out looking.
She had spent the last 15 minutes wandering around the nearby reserve yelling out the girl’s name.

You just hear that it happens and your heart breaks, she said.
“We’re hoping to find her before it gets dark.”
Bryce Tane, who lives a few streets away from the address, said he found out someone was missing when a member of the public knocked on his door and asked if he had seen a child.
Tane decided to take up the search, grabbing a torch and a jacket.
”Everyone’s just mucking in,” he said.
