Jeff Wilson has shared his predictions for the Rugby World Cup.
All Blacks’ great Jeff Wilson says there are several contenders in with a shot to win the Rugby World Cup. He also says there are several contenders in the running for the best French pastry he’s eaten.
Wilson discussed his predictions for the tournament on the latest episode of Newsable, ahead of the opening game between the All Blacks and France at Stade de France on Saturday morning.
Wilson told Newsable there are four teams he thought were favourites to win the World Cup, but nothing was set in stone.
“I genuinely only believe, I think, there are four top-end contenders.
“But what’s changed, is there are a number of other teams who could cause significant upsets in other matches. Scotland are going to be a significant challenge, and they could really upset the apple cart”.

On a personal level, Wilson said he was “pumped” to be in France, and he was loving the French culture.
He had eaten “multiple pastries” since arriving in France.
“One of the great things here is that there are so many options. There was a chocolate éclair that Grant Nisbett attacked yesterday, and my lord, this thing was sweet . . . It was magnificent”.
