In an ultimate throwback to the 1980s, Nik Kershaw, The Human League and Choirboys have been announced for Sound Series 2024.
The one-day festival will take place in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington from February 29 to March 3, 2024.
The Human League were most well-known for the 1981 album Dare, featuring the iconic single Don’t You Want me, and Kershaw cemented his place in legendary 1980s artists with the single The Riddle and Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.
Also joining the lineup is Australian rockers the Choirboys, armed with the anthemic sing-along classic Run to Paradise.
Completing the lineup is UK’s Go West, known for the massive 1980s hit King of Wishful Thinking, will also join Kiwi legends The Mockers, fronted by Andrew Fagan, to complete the lineup for the throwback festival.
Each festival will have VIP packages available and feature a range of food options and full bar facilities.
Auckland Sounds will take place on Thursday February 29 at Eventfinda Stadium, Selwyn Sounds will be at Lincoln Domain in Selwyn, Christchurch on Saturday, March 2 and Hutt Sounds will take place on Sunday, March 3 at Brewtown, Upper Hutt.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 5 at 8am from soundsnz.co.nz.
