At least one person has been critically injured in a crash on State Highway 5 east of Taupō.
Police were called to the serious crash involving two cars on SH5, near Iwitahi, between Motukino Rd and High Level Rd about 6pm on Sunday.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
Motorists have been told to expect delays.
