Police were called to “an ongoing dispute” between neighbours in South Auckland overnight.

Around 1am police received the first calls to Weymouth Rd in Manurewa, with occupants reported to be arguing and damaging each other’s property, a police spokesperson said.

“Ultimately this resulted in a vehicle attempting to leave an address and crashing into a fence,” they said.

Two people were injured – one with moderate injuries and the second with minor injuries.

Police say they spent a “considerable amount of time working to deescalate the situation” and speak to those from both addresses.

“We are continuing to make enquiries and no charges have been laid at this stage,” the spokesperson said.
