Police search for vehicle involved in Ōamaru aggravated burglary

Police are calling for the public’s help to find a Mazda that was involved in Ōamaru aggravated burglary.

A home on Bulleid Rd in Deborah was the scene of an aggravated burglary on Sunday night, which has sparked and investigation by Ōamaru police.

Constable Cory Anderson said the people entered the home and stole and “unknown quantity of goods”.

As they fled the scene one of the offenders rammed their car, into another vehicle, he said.

As part of the investigation into the burglary, Anderson said officers were looking for any information about the incident and the getaway car.

“The vehicle police are seeking is a dark-coloured Mazda Atenza which will have significant damage to one side.”

Anderson urged any witnesses of the incident itself or the Mazda to contact 105 or make a report online referencing the file number 230529/4646.
