Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in Waihola

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash in Waihola, 30 minutes south of Dunedin.

The crash, involving two vehicles, happened about 12.15pm on Monday.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they are responding with two helicopters, three ambulances and two rapid response vehicles.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson have sent crews from Milton, Balclutha and Waihola to the crash.

“It is believed to involve two vehicles,” a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.

It is not yet known how many people are injured.
