Trains in central Auckland are being delayed after “confused tourists” ended up in a tunnel between the Newmarket and Parnell train stations.
In a tweet posted at 2pm, Auckland Transport warned trains between Britomart and Newmarket have been “temporality suspended” after trespassers were reported on the tracks.
Trains will be starting and finishing at Newmarket instead of Britomart.
Police have since confirmed the trespassers on the tracks were just “confused tourists”.
